Non-biodegradable waste such as plastic, glass, and metal is often disposed of indiscriminately, leading to environmental issues such as water pollution, flooding from clogged drainage systems, and a declining quality of life. This Community Service Program aims to raise public awareness of the importance of waste management through an upcycling approach, which promotes creative recycling. The methods applied include education, demonstration, and hands-on workshops to create marketable products from waste, such as bags made from used coffee wrappers and pots from plastic bottles. Through a participatory approach, the program introduces the concept of the circular economy while simultaneously contributing to the local economic empowerment of the community, especially targeting housewives and youth. The activity could increased participant understanding of the upcycling concept and growing motivation to initiate waste-based businesses. The involvement of local partners reinforces the program's sustainability potential.
Rizki Yuniarti, CH. Overall, the people of Ligarmukti Village are categorized as being in the lower socioeconomic class. The main livelihood is farming, with an average eleven-year-old girl being married off to reduce the family's economic burden, while the boys work outside the area due to limited livelihoods. Rice and cassava are abundant products in Ligarmukti Village. The quality of the rice produced is very good (fluffy), so it is sufficient for consumption and sale. Until now, rice has been offered only to the local community. To increase residents' income, cooperation is needed in the form of sharing knowledge about how to package and market rice. The packaging offered meets the elements of durability, quality, and packaging price. Another activity, an interactive knowledge sharing session on packaging selection for MSME products, such as rengginang and opak, was held at the Ligarmukti Village Hall. The event began with a presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session and discussion. Participants were enthusiastically and actively involved. In addition, cooperation is needed to expand the marketing of rice, rengginang, and opak by participating in MSME exhibitions.
Wahidatur Rosyidah, Irma Selliamanik, M. M. T. S. This community service program was implemented in Linggarmukti Village, West Java, Indonesia, to address the issue of excessive gadget use through educational, participatory, and family-centered interventions. The primary objective was to reduce children’s dependence on digital devices by empowering parents and local stakeholders with knowledge and practical strategies. The program was conducted over four weeks and included parental workshops, peer-sharing sessions, family-based alternative activities, and public awareness campaigns. Data were collected through pre- and post- intervention questionnaires, family logbooks, and facilitator observations. The results showed a significant increase in parental awareness of gadget-related risks, a measurable reduction in daily screen time among children, and improved parent-child interactions. The involvement of community leaders and the formation of a local support network contributed to the program's sustainability and cultural relevance. This initiative demonstrates that collaborative, community-based efforts can effectively promote healthier digital habits among children in underserved areas. The model used in Linggarmukti Village may serve as a framework for similar interventions in other rural contexts across Indonesia.
wuriy handayani, Widiastuti Murtiningrum, Heni Pujiastuti Copyright (c) 2025 International Proceeding of Community Services http://journal.perbanas.id/index.php/pcs/article/view/1000 Thu, 14 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Sustainable Optimization Of Excellent Human Resources And Gen Z Talent Management In The Era Of Digital Trasformation http://journal.perbanas.id/index.php/pcs/article/view/1003
Sustainable Human Resource Management, or Green Human Resource Management (GHRM), is an approach to human resource management that integrates environmentally friendly practices and sustainability into recruitment, training, development, performance evaluation, and employee compensation systems.
