Abstract

Path analysis is ussualy designed to measure the causality relationship among variables. This study is an example how to determine the impact of independent variables on dependent variable: an investigation of the influences of product, market characteristics, and competitive advantages toward export performance. A conceptual framework is proposed and tested by Trimming theory. By using hypothetical data (n=20) and path analysis, it can be concluded that export performance is only influenced, both directly and indirectly, by product and market characteristics.
