Application of AHP and SAW Methods in a Decision Support System for Selecting the Best E-Wallet Application for Students (Case Study: Perbanas Institute)

The current digital era has led to an increase in e-wallet usage, especially among students. The numerous application options with different features and advantages often make it difficult for users to determine the best application. This study aims to determine the best e-wallet application using the AHP and SAW methods based on the preferences of Perbanas Institute students. Research data was obtained through a questionnaire involving two experts and 33 active student e-wallet users. The AHP method was used to determine the priority weights of the criteria, while the SAW method was used for the alternative ranking process. The results showed that the promotion criterion was the most important factor in e-wallet selection for students. Furthermore, the SAW method ranking results showed that ShopeePay received the highest score as the best e-wallet application, followed by GoPay in second place. This study is expected to help students in choosing an e-wallet application that suits their needs and provide input for financial technology companies in improving service quality.
