Abstract

The increasing use of vehicles in campus locations at this time makes it increasingly difficult to find empty parking spaces. This study aims to develop a parking reservation and monitoring system at campus locations using RFID and IoT concepts. RFId (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology is a technology that is expected to replace optical barcodes in the future. The advantages of RFId compared to conventional barcodes include RFId can do many-to-many communication which can be interpreted a lot reader can read one tag, or one reader can read many tags, as well as using wireless data transmission compared to conventional barcodes that use optics RFID is used to confirm the order code generated by the information system. The concept of IoT has been applied to build this system. With this parking area management information system, the reservation at the desired parking location is via the internet. The test results show that the system has detected an empty parking location, made a reservation, made a payment transaction, and filled out the user's balance.
